Kay over at the Rustic Cottage is having a giveaway until Friday June 6, 2008 at midnight. Go on over and leave a comment to be entered! Check out her great blog, too!
I somehow came upon Glenda's blog tonight. This amazing lady is a SINGLE mom now since her husband left her. She is trying to raise FIVE children, and all TEENAGERS no less! She is still homeschooling and is also trying to do odd jobs around the community to make money to keep their home running.
We need to pray for Glenda. Through it all, she remains thankful to the Lord for everything and takes everything day by day - what an inspiration she is! Please, if you have time, pray for Glenda and her children. Also, if you have time, please stop by her blog and offer some words of encouragement - I'm SURE that she could use it!!
Just a reminder for those who have entered my blog giveaway ... please don't forget in order to be eligible, you must post a mention on your blog and link back to me. This will ensure that your name gets entered into the draw on May 1st, 2008. Good luck, everyone!
My dear friend, Dalyn, has a nifty little online store called Hick Chicks Soap Barn. She makes goat milk soaps and lotion bars and lip butters and bath salts. She has some really yummy-sounding soaps such as Snickerdoodle, Almond Biscotti, and Punkin' Spice, just to name a few. They sound good enough to eat, don't they?!!! All ingredients are 100% natural and made in small batches.
I'm in the process of placing an order now. Do be sure to check out Dalyn's shop, and then you can pop over to her blog here. I had the priviledge of meeting her in person last spring at the Above Rubies retreat in Western Washington - what a Godly woman and a sweetheart she is! I am truly blessed for knowing her!
Jocelyn has returned to the U.S. with her adopted son from Liberia. She is a single mom. Please take a little peek at her blog and look at all the wonderful photos her little son, Isaac. He's such a cutie-pie! I am praying for their wonderful new journey through life together.
If you have some spare time, I'd like to ask you to visit Heather's blog. This lady is a true inspiration. She's battling a brain tumour and has also suffered with a very sick daughter. The faith that radiates from her blog is amazing and should be an example to many. Take some time to visit....you won't be sorry.
