Labor Day already

Well I am, obviously, not so good at keeping a blog. It's been almost 3 months since I have written anything... Maybe because my life is, praise God, on the more boring side.

Summer has been wonderful. My children have had a wonderful time. We have been home a lot, gas prices are finally coming down, another praise!

My older girls begin school on Thursday. They are going into 7th and 5th grades. My darling son begins pre-k twice a week on the 11th. That leaves only Princess and me home alone for 10 hours a week. What shall we do??

I am praying for some cooler weather soon. It's been humid here on the east coast and my electric bill shows it ~grin~. I am anxiously awaiting autumn. I can't wait for mums and pumpkins and apple pie and chili cooking all day on the stove!!!

I am planning a trip to Lancaster with my mother and 2 girls, sometime in October, for my birthday. We are all very excited.

Time will tell if I manage to keep up with this little blog here and if I can add friends to my list.

FOR TODAY June 9th

Outside My Window..A hot blazing Sun. It had been itn eh very(!) high 90's here for the past 2 days nad is supposed to continue until tomorrow

I am thinking...My ratehr busy week ahead

I am thankful for...air conditioning and my Heavenly father who teaches me more every day

From the kitchen...cleaned spotless yesterday. No baking for hte next couple days. It is just oo hot

I am wearing...denim capris, my favorite blue 3/4 sleeve top, hair 1/2 up in a clip as it is everyday and my old, used to be tan but now are brown slides

I am creating...Pj's for my daughters and a cross stitch blanket for a dear friend expecting her 5th baby

I am reading...Homemaking and in the bible Matthew

I am hoping...to get my room straightened today and to blog more regularly

I am hearing...my daughter talking with her pacifier in her mothe, it makes it difficult to understand her. One day it is going in the garbage......but not today~wink~

Around the house...things to be straightened,laundry to be done, flowers to be watered,books to be read,

One of my favorite things...when my daughters waklk through te door after a day at school

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:dr appt tomorrow, grocery shopping to be done,my sons end of the year pre-school performance, Field Day for my older ones at school, science fair tonight, goodness I'm exhausted already

FOR TODAY May 13th..

Outside My Window...A welcome sunshine after lots of rain yesterday

I am thinking...about all I need to do today

I am thankful for...a husband who planned a wonderful anniversary trip for us

From the kitchen...just cleaned up after a pancake breakfast and lunches were made for school

I am wearing...denim capris, my favorite blue 3/4 sleeve top, sea glass earrings my daughter gave me for Christmas, hair 1/2 up in a clip as it is everyday and on my feet..my favorite flip flops

I am creating...sewing dresses for my little girl and pj's for my son

I am going...lots of errands to do today

I am reading...Passionate Housewives, Desperate for God and in the bible, Revelation

I am hoping...to get all that I need to done today and still have time to relax with my children

I am hearing...my dd clomping around in her big sisters shoes

Around the house...the dog is chasing the cat, laundry waits to be done, lunch and dinner to be planned

One of my favorite things...hearing my children laugh

Why am I so computer challenged?

Goodness I looked all over to see how to change the size and font. Low and behold, when I came to post a new entry to ask for help, there is was! Goodness, be patient with me ~smile~.

Well here is my quick little introduction..

My name is Cindy, I've been married to my dh J for almost 16 years. We have 4 children, dd K is 12, dd M is 10, ds S is 4 (but if you ask him he's still 3 beacuse when he turns 4 his shirts won't fit anymore and he likes his shirts a LOT so he has agreed to turn 4 on July 14, his 1/2 birthday)and my baby dd C is 2.

We live on the central east coast and have been hit with quite a storm today. Praise God no tornadoes, which are ~~quite unusual~~ never happen, in this part of the country but nothing would surprise me anymore.

As my header states I am striving for a simpler life. I would love to move out west somewhere and have lots of land to farm and garden. But dh loves it here so here we stay and I am learning contentment in a big way.

I hope to learn lots from others here and maybe, just maybe, Lord willing be able to teach others a thing or two in the future.
