Dusty, Isabelle and I went garage sale-ing today (Isabelle doesn't have summer school on Fridays)......We hit about 4 altogether. I found nothing, but Dusty found a singing school bus and remote controlled car that he just HAD to have, so he bought them for 50 cents. Isabelle found a huuuuge floppy stuffed bunny for 50 cents, then at another sale she found 2 almost brand new Barbie dolls fully clothed (one still had her shoes!), they were $1.00 for both so she bought those. They were thrilled and entertained for the whole day. Then I came home and hung laundry on the line. There is NOTHING like sundried clothes and towels!! MMmmm!! I love how line dried towels don't fluff out like they do in a dryer, I love that stiff and rough loofa feel after you get out of a shower, they're soooo much more absorbent too! But that's just me...LOL!
And no, I don't think I own a single matching towel. LOL!! Darin got a hay spike for his tractor so we can finally move bales around where we need to! That was challenging last winter trying to get by without one! Truffle, our new poodle (I still shudder at the thought of us having a poodle on the farm), has just become such the family member! I do believe he is fully housebroken now (knock on wood)!! We haven't had a single problem with him...he's quiet, gentle, he does have his wild moments but he settles right down when he's shushed at. He knows his name and comes when called. The kids absolutely adore him. He chews heartily on his bone under the coffee table and I sometimes forget he's under there! It's funny, but he growls at the weather man on the 5 O'clock news. HA! That cracks me up! The other day he was promptly put in his place by the farm cats which was quite the humbling and humiliating moment, but his feelings weren't hurt for long....he moved his curiousity along to a roaming chicken which he was able to get more of a rise out of than the cats.
