Tired but excited!
I am beyond exhausted, but I'm soooo excited at the same time!! My brother came out with his construction crew and started building my 16x16 shop where I can groom dogs out of!! It's just soooo cute and I'm ecstatic that it's finally coming together! I hope to be up and running by September!
As a result, I fed 4 to 5 hungry men (and kids!)......breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast was at 6:30 a.m. with fried eggs, bacon, sausage, and buttered toast. For lunch I served ham and swiss sandwiches on rolls, and made "on the stove" pork n beans (I used 3 cans which were 29 cents a can) which I dressed up with some bar-b-que sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar.....mmmmm good!! Dinner was grilled hot dogs and vienna sausage with onions, accompanied by my homemade baked mac n' cheese which was heartily gobbled up! Chocolate pie was served for dessert! It was all very cheap to make which was good because boy can those guys EAT! I was on my feet all day replenishing the food supply and refreshments, but those guys were on their feet hammering, measuring, and cutting in the hot sun, so fair trade in my book!
They worked really hard, and I can't believe how it went from nothing to a four walled building complete with windows and roof trusses! WOW! I'm not sure when they'll be back out to get the roof and siding up, but it won't take very long once they start! Then it'll be time for electrical and sheetrock.
Yay!
