Your garden looks fantastic- the whole place does in fact. I'm very impressed with how much you do while pregnant- amazing!
How are your free-range chickens doing? I tried that the first time we had chickens, and over the course of a year and a half, the neighborhood dogs wiped them all out. We started over this year, with the chickens in a dog run that we bought second-hand. They can fly out if they want, but they can also fly back in, and the dogs can't get in to them. It's working much better for us so far!
Hope your family is feeling better.

Sarajeen, the chickens are doing great! We do periodic head counts (it helps to have so many different colored birds) and all 15 are still around. After the first few days we stopped bothering to close them in at night. Egg production is up, they all continue to lay in the coop, and the eggs are marvously dark and rich, the shells sturdier. A bag of feed is lasting 3-4 times as long. I'm quite tickled. Again, I owe a lot to our Great Pyr mix, Murphy who keeps the scoundrals away. --------- On another note, I had some time the last couple days to read over your blog and get to know you better (the white on black made me see stripes, but I copied and pasted in Works and was able to adjust the format). Seemed like I had something to comment at each post (maybe I can find time to actually do that). It was time well spent. I really enjoyed it.
