Quiltathon Progress

Posted in Quilting

I've had a real neat day with the autumn sun streaming on my back & all I've done is sew. I've cooked no meals - Brent has spoilt me rotten!\

I'm all up to date with Seeing Stars quilt  - pattern at Crazy Moms Quilt.Including all the filler blocks & the 2 1/2 inch strips on sides.

Laid out like this it looks a good pattern for a science person - kinda looks like DNA HAHA

I got back into Abbey's Mary Ingalls quilt - patten here at Mary Quilts.

I want to add another row to it  & then the borders.

Back to the machine before I have to pack it up for school tomorrow.

Got lots done! - and as a friend is going to be a first time grandmother - first out of all our friends I have ideas swimming in my head what to make for the baby as I know it is a girl. Girls are fun to sew for.....

Thursday, May 29, 2008 - Thank you

Thank you ladies for such kind comments of the quilts - Phew you can't see up close - I'm sure there are errors that more experienced quilters would see. Me I quilt for enjoyment. The kids love helping choose colours & placing blocks so they too will have lovely memories of me sitting at my sewing machine - or watching me unpick, unpick to get it the best one can.

Love Leanne

A warm welcome to our families daily blog. "At The Good Life" blog I'll bring a little bit of our home to you, and introduce you to some of what living in New Zealand is and being a New Zealander is like.

I’m the luckiest girl I know! Married to my best friend for over 21 years, raising two wonderful children on our 3 acre farmlet in New Zealand.

I was a Bank Manager in previous life (before kids) and now a kept women - home schooling our two kids.

I enjoy writing & sharing views on living a simple life, menu planning, living on one income in a two income world, home schooling, dyslexia, severe food allergies, raising coloured sheep, goats & hens, quilting, reading, cooking, gardening and of course cats.

"It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
