Quiltathon is on again this weekend - I'm not playing as I'm sewing Austrian Blinds for Abbey's room.
Thankfully Brent had time to help me work out measurements & just as well as I would of cut them too short.
He has worked out (all he has to go by is me trying to tell him what I want & I work i inches - he millimeters from being an engineer & curtains currently hanging in our bedroom)- Measure width of window frame. Need double the width.
Length of window plus 12 inch (30 cm) for room to bunch up, 6.5 inch turn over at top for top frill & dowel to go into.
Then 6.5 inch for bottom frill.
He was very patient with me. Today he will cut the fabric for me & the lining - which is black out lining.
I hope to get one blind finished today
