WOW we have had soo much rain - even thunder. lightening, and hail. I was injured (well as I tell the kids) while doing cattery from hail stones ouchy they hurt!Roll on spring! - But I see Nicki at Rural Writings Canada (I miss being able to leave a comment Nicki) has had a wet cold summer. - At least this is winter here.
We had another day out - we have been out everyday this week - & the house tells this. Next week isn't looking so busy - yet.
Quilt shops had a sale - so I got 5 fat quarters for $20.00 - good price as I pay between $6.50 & $7.50. I have now started collecting greens, red & golds for a Christmas quilt - yes, yes I have others on the go - but collecting material is all part of quilting! I hope to sew this weekend - but housework is a need first - thats what happens when you have weeks of being out everyday - it's hard to stay on top of everything.
Picked up fruit & veges from roadside markets - even they have gone up - might have to start price shopping here too. $65.00 mmm big jump. But nice & fresh.
Our fridge & freezers are bulging. good feeling! We are now in the market looking for a new fridge - I am amazed at how small the vege bins are. So looking at fridges that have a separate roll out draw for fruit & veges. Consumer spending is down - so hopefully we will get one on sale.

Haven't shared a photo for a while of the kittens - I am pleased with this litter & new owners I think will be too. I could of let them all go to new homes early the other day. Laura (mother) keeps letting them out of the pen gr gr...
I'm itching to get into my garden - all this wet weather isn't good for me - I like being outside & getting fresh air.

The broad beans are in flower.

Garlic is still safe from pukeko's - started them off in pots - really need to transplant asap.

Broccoli & spinach also needs to be transplanted.
Excuse the mess of dirt on deck - one of James' chickens helped herself to my seedlings. (photos taken by James for the blog)
Have a good weekend all!
