I try, I really do try to not worry about little things,However over the weekend there was soo much puddles, soo much rain, soo much washing I wasn't able to get dry... wet, wet, wet,
Ad James proudly arrived at backdoor dripping wet. He had had a lovely time riding his bike he had painted & put together out of old bikes, through the huge puddle - aka pond in the bottom paddock.
I went crook at him sharing how hard I was finding it to get the washing dry when it was raining day after day...totally forgetting he is my out door boy!
James obediently stripped at the backdoor & left all his wet clothes - and had a shower.
He must of slept on my words. As Sunday he informs me he is going to ride through the puddles again. But, but, he says LISTEN mum!
He informs me I will have NO wet washing as he was going to get dressed out of the rags in the rag bin - so could then just throw them away.
Here he is all dressed in his old, too short clothes & a rain coat on.He had a wonderful time riding his bike through the pond getting gloriously wet! - I couldn;t get a photo - Abbey informs me I have to change the setting on my camera each time I use it - as they do - ahhh no wonder my photos are always dark -
James has such a ZEST for life & what a wonderful idea boy to dress in rags so his mum wouldn't nag him about wet washing!

If I had my child to raise over again
I'd build self-esteem first and the house later
I'd finger paint more and point the finger less
I would do less correcting and more connecting
I'd take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes
I would care to know less and know to care more
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites
I'd stop playing serious and seriously play
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars
I'd do more hugging and less tugging
I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often
I would be firm less often and affirm much more
I'd model less about the love of power
And more about the power of love.
