Wednesday, July 30, 2008 The Storm Posted in Daily Life The wind has not long hit us. Branches are down. We have power - but I've got the torch & water containers all filled. Fire wood in. Tea in the oven - James cooking tonight he prepared a beef casserole so cooking away. Brent on his way home early. Animals all feed & tucked up for hopefully not too rough a night. Mum & dad have been without power all day supplying flasks of hot water from their gas stove to neighbours. Poor Pam over from OZ had her MIL ring me to say power lines are down - trees across the road & they may not even be able to get back to the farm. I don't think it's supposed to get too bad here though. We're all fed and watered and nice and warm, so I wouldn't mind if the power went out for awhile. Hope you'll have a safe and drama-free night.
