After school Abbey made one of my favourites - Ginger Bread.
2 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons ginger
pinch salt.
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup warm milk
2 eggs
1 cup golden syrup
Mix well add 225 grams melted butter
Beat until very well mixed.
This is a very sloppy, wet mixture.
Bake in a square cake tin at 180 deg C for a bout 45 mins - 1 hour. Test that it is cooked.
Butter & enjoy - oh men folk like it hot with custard.
