I had a good day at CVS and Walgreens today! Here is the picture of what I bought (minus 1 more candy bar and a container of Redi Whip).

I found a coupon that I needed to use at Walgreens by the end of the month for the Dove Cream Oil lotion. It printed off during a previous purchase and was worth $6 off this item! I also had a $1.50 manufacturer's coupon which made the lotion $.50! The candy bars were 2/$1.39 and I had a $1 off 2 candy bars coupon print last week. I also had a $3 coupon print last week when doing the Pepsi deal, so that paid for the can of Redi Whip.

Basically, today I got almost $107 worth of product for $13.86 and I earned $25 back in ECB's at CVS!

So, Walgreens:

$7.99 lotion

$1.39 candy bars

$2.99 Redi Whip

TOTAL $12.37 minus $11.50 in coupons, so only $.87 out of pocket!!

Then to CVS where I made 2 different purchases:

First CVS Purchase:

6 shampoos/conditioners

2 Febreze candles

TOTAL OUT-OF-POCKET: $7.48

Total Saved after sale prices, coupons and ECB's: $37.04

ECB's earned: $10

Second CVS Purchase:

2 Swiffer Wet Mop refills

2 Cover Girl foundations

2 Cover Girl powders

TOTAL OUT-OF-POCKET: $5.51

Total Saved after sale prices, coupons and ECB's: $44.43

ECB's earned: $15

I'm going to surprise someone with a goody box of the overflow of items I have here in my closet. One of the reasons that I love doing these rebate programs is that I can share my savings with others. Just last month, I gave my sister a few items to take home with her. I love being able to share the items that I get free or nearly free!

I don't print coupons b/c I don't have a printer hooked up to my computer. I just use the coupons that come in the Sunday paper. The coupons that I used at Walgreens printed out when I made some purchases there last week.

I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance and PCOS. This makes it difficult to lose weight, but I am trying my best to get healthy again. I am back to walking and weight training, beginning in September. I hope to add in some yoga soon as well - I've never tried it, but have always wanted to! I am currently seeing a chiropractor and massage therapist regularly to try and get my back realigned properly again, too.

My current eating plan is focused on eating gluten-free foods "from the original garden." I believe that I have food sensitivities and am trying to figure out which items set off the symptoms (rash, upset stomach, etc.).

I attend a Lutheran church and am active in many ways. My husband and I lead the youth group. I am a member of the Fellowship & Recreation and the Mutual Ministries committees. My husband is president of the Admin Council and my daughter often participates as an acolyte or crucifier during the services.
