These pictures are a bit older, but the setup is mostly the same ... just different things on the counters now as I have my breadmaking appliances in the corner. Tuesday will be a good day to finish cleaning the main living areas. In the kitchen, I'll be going through the fridge to get rid of old food. I'll also be straightening up the pantry and my basket that I keep full of odds and ends papers (not shown). This room is very visible when you walk in the front door, so my counters are always kept clear of papers and other clutter.
These pictures are the same ... just different views! You can see a small tray in the picture below, but I am using a bigger basket now because it hides everything better - LOL!In the photo above, you can see that I try to keep my fridge fairly clear of "stuff" ... it keeps the room looking neater.
The above photo shows one side of my craft area ... this area is off of the living room (see the bookshelves?) and is supposed to be a breakfast nook or dining room. However, it is tiny - only 8 x 10. We had our dining room furniture in here at one point and we just found that we never used it because it never felt comfortable enough. I scrapbook and make cards at the table. The 3 bookshelves hold all of my paper supplies and I have 3 bins of scrapbooking paper under the tables and desk. The ottoman that matches our living room furniture is in front of the desk next to the TV. I put some pillows on it and it gives extra seating for 2 more people. We can seat up to 10 people in our living room and it's not that big!
This photo shows the other side a bit better. All of my Teacher Manuals and Answer Keys are in the desk so I sit here to grade papers that my kids put in that basket. Uh oh, it's a bit full at the moment
! On the wall are 3 corkboards full of card designs from my sister. She is soooo talented and tries to send me new ideas now and again.
