My Dream House!
Awhile ago I found the perfect dream house... all of you fellow homesteaders be sure that your mouth doesn't fall open when you see this house!!
Early New England Homes, be sure to stop by the photo tour, they even have a virtual tour, but make sure you don't go too fast, it can make you dizzy!!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures:
The Front... there is a porch on the side that you really can't see.

The Front Entry... aren't the flowers lovely!?

One of the bedrooms

The dining room

The beautiful living room

The beautiful fireplace... can't you just picture a spinning wheel right next to the chair??

They actually have blueprints and the parts that you can't buy at a hardware store.... wouldn't that be so much fun to build!!?? The kitchen doesn't have a wood burning cookstove though, so just that one thing is lacking! Be sure to stop by their website and ohh and ahh over the pictures! Also, be sure to stop by their sister website Country Carpenters where they have plans for barns, etc.!!

Oh my! Thank you for sharing this link. You will never believe this, but the house on the front (the red one) is EXACTLY what we are turning ours into! We need a bigger home, but don't want to sacrifice the land and heritage we have here to attain it. We also don't want to go into debt and with prices the way they are, (as far as building a new one) we have decided to just add to and remodel our current one. This will include a whole new look and this is the exact style that we have chosen. I just adore the simple decor. :-)

Mine Too!!
lovely!
Alex ~~ Oh I so love colonial style homes! I think the simpleness of them is what calls me ........
The simple clean lines are so classic and so easy on the eyes.... I love that! I am a no nonsense decorator and I love the clean crisp look of the colonial home.......
This type of home is the most enconomical kind of home you can build.... a saltbox square or rectangle is much less costly to build.........
I also love red paint!!

Alex,
What a beautiful home! It is so great that you know what you want at a young age. You have no idea how many people go through 1/2 their life and still don't know what they want.
God's blessing to you and your dreams.
Lea

Oh my goodness! That house is so beautiful. I especially love the upholstery on the two living room chairs. Lovely.
