• Tuesday, July 24, 2007 - We have orders to Germany

I recieved a call at 5:30 am from Hubby to tell me we had orders to Germany. Our report date in 1 Jan 2008. If you know me well you know I don't fly! I don't know what we are going to do yet but he can't delete the orders. He is going to try to get the time reduced to 18 months unaccompanied tour. That means the kids and I will stay here alone while he is deployed. The unit he is going to will deploy him to Iraq within 6 weeks of reporting to Germany. I will post more when I know more.

I would love to go back to Germany. It is so beautiful over there.
Do you know where you would be going over there?
What an experience for your children to see another country and how they live, and all the history.
Sometimes I wish that DH had gone active duty so that we possible could have gone to Germany.
Do you have family close if you stay here in the states? Has he already been to Iraq? Mine was over there from July04-July05, but he left us in May 04, to start all the training. Praying for you and your family.
