Very Dirty Boy Feet

The picture actually doesn't even do this justice.  This boy is usually dirty, but this was a new level of dirtiness, even for him.  LOL.  My dh jokes that even after a bath he still looks dirty.  For awhile, Jonah even believed that he just doesn't come clean.

Anyway, this was after a busy afternoon of catching salamanders and frogs.  Two of the dogs went with him and they, too, were very dirty.  The white dog was bown, they both stunk of dirty wet dog and had to stay outside.

Yesterday we all did a lot of work around here, too.  We did a bunch of firewood and I mowed the lawn-which took a couple hours.  Jonah & Hannah drove the 4-wheeler, loaded split wood, transported it, and dumped it by the stacking area.  Pat split wood.  Susanna rode on the 4-wheeler.  We almost have all our firewood done for next winter, which is a first for us.

I got the lawn tractor stuck twice trying to mow some spots that don't normally get done.  One of the back wheels wasn't touching the ground due to a rut.  I didn't want to tell my dh and have him harass me about it, so I got the kids to come and help me push.  With us all pushing together, we did it.  But, they ratted me out later. LOL

Funny about your son's feet! I admire yall thinking ahead and getting your firewood ready. How wonderful to get to go to Amish country and visit. Thanks for the pictures. Karen

To quote Charlie Brown from A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965):

Charlie Brown: Don't think of it as dust (dirt, in this case). Think of it as maybe the soil of some great past civilization. Maybe ancient Babylon. It staggers the imagination. He could be carrying soil that was trod upon by Solomon, or even Nebuchadnezzar.
