New Years bang update.

You know that bang of a new year I was talking about? It isn't the half of it yet! We found out that what we thought was the stomach flu in Wesley turned out to be dreadfully more. Saturday morning we woke up to Wesley wimpering and complaining about being SO hot. But when we felt him he was ice cold. His pillow was covered in sweat. We took him to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. (45 min from home) When all was said and done, three xrays and a cat scan later, we found out that Wesleys appendex had burst. They scheduled surgery for that evening. That was yesterday.
The surgery went well. He is recovering pretty well. The staff has been wonderful in this little hospital. The surgen was great. We should be here in the hospital for 4-5 days.
If you would, please keep Wesley in your prayers. The worst seems to be behind us now, but recovery is still painful and slow. We would greatly appreciate your prayers.
