Yes, it is true, though I hardly believe it myself. On the 30th of September we will leave home and drive to washington. The kids will be delivered to Grandpa and Grandma Glazes house and on the 2nd of October Donald and I along with my mom and dad will fly out. Our flying will be over when we reach the island of Kuai (sp?) This treat is in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. We will be spending 5 days on the island. Oh, I cant wait!
On to more normal life..... (bringing my head out of the clouds ) Things on the homestead are doing well. Our german shephard puppy, Shasta, is getting so big already. She is only four months old and she is almost as tall as our 7 year old australian shephard. The chickens are doing well. We are down to 7 hens. They are laying an average of two eggs a day. They started laying about 10 days ago. I am happy with two eggs a day, since we dont eat eggs every day and they seem to add up pretty fast. I am hoping that they will lay more as they get a bit older.
Believe it or not, I am still enjoying some produce from the garden. The tomato plants are still full of green tomatos and the weather is cooperating for them to ripen on the vine. I am still getting some peppers too! I cant believe it! Thank you Lord! I am enjoying the harvest! I hope to be able to do up some more salsa before long. I added some numbers to my canning list if you want to check that out.
The business is going well. Busy as usual. I am discussing with my dear hubby buying a laptop for home. I sorely miss it.
We started up homeschooling on the 8th of September. It is always such a blessing getting back into the structure and schedule of school time. The kids and I are very happy to have this again. Here is what we are doing this year:

I have been to the islands of Hawaii twice in my younger days and it is gorgeous. The small island of Kuaui was my absolute favorite though. The larger islands were very touristy, but the small island was so nice and quiet. I hope you have a wonderful time!!! Don't forget to go shopping, and a hint for you is, don't ever give full price at the sidewalk booths. They like it when you try to get a better price.
God's Blessings,
Amy Jo
