Protesting funerals...

Posted on Friday 20 April 2007 at 10:23 AM in A Little Bit Of Everything - Post Comment

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims who died and to the victims and families who are recovering from this tragedy at Virginia Tech.

A bigger tragedy is that "church" is at it again and planning to protest the funerals of the victims killed at Virginia Tech with awful signs.  Talk about pouring salt in wounds.  How can they think that is Biblical and it's the "Lord's work"?  How can they think that God sent that guy to shoot those people?  What they do is vile and disgusting...those poor families that have this "church" show up at their funerals with those filthy signs.  I will never go to that "church's" website but I did find their message posted about it on one of the news websites:

"WBC will preach at the funerals of the Virginia Tech students killed on campus during a shooting rampage April 16, 2007. You describe this as monumental horror, but you know nothing of horror — yet. Your bloody tyrant Bush says he is ‘horrified’ by it all. You know nothing of horror — yet. Your true horror is coming. “They shall also gird themselves with sackloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads” (Eze. 7:18)."

Please continue to pray for the families of the victims who died...pray that God will protect them from the hate and filth this "church" spews out.   And pray that God will deal quickly and swiftly with this "church" who claims to be doing His work.

Psalm 36

An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked:
There is no fear of God before his eyes.
For he flatters himself in his own eyes,
When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates.
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit;
He has ceased to be wise and to do good.
He devises wickedness on his bed;
He sets himself in a way that is not good;
He does not abhor evil.

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;
O LORD, You preserve man and beast.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.

Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,
And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Let not the foot of pride come against me,
And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
There the workers of iniquity have fallen;
They have been cast down and are not able to rise.

We who are called by His Name should Invoke the Name of Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the ONLY Prince of Peace!
If we, who are called by His Name, would lift our voices to Heaven IN His Name, we will be heard, and Peace will reign.

This "church" saddens me!

I just do not understand what they are thinking. It makes no sense. They have twisted the bible so much. We really need to pray for those families and for those at the"church". Hopefully they will someday see the light before it is too late.

One thing I found out about this church is that is it is woman lead. Yes the dad does the preaching but the daughter is the driving force behind the church. I really believe this is why the Lord tells women to follow and not lead. This is what Isaiah said would happen when a woman leads.

What a shame

I did not hear of this yet as we have turned our TV/Satilite off for the summer. For this I am thankful for now, because if my children would have heard or seen this they would be livid. Our prayers are with those that were effected by this 'horror' and we will continue to pray for them. This is very close to our home and we are still in shock that it even happened.
Thank you for your continued prayers too.
