Root Hairs Upclose

Boo planted a sunflower seed for Cub Scouts and we've been watching it grow.  What is very cool is that our science text was going over seeds and plants and had a diagram of a sunflower seed growing.  How perfect is that??  So we watched it and studied it.  Then we took it into the Cub Scout meeting.  It survived the below zero temps we had outside, but didn't survive a group of active Wolf Cubs.  It snapped right in half.  But that was ok.  The next day we pulled it out of the cup and took a good upclose look at the roots with Boo's Magniscope.
