New Family Addition??
His name is Boomer. Hubby found him running around down town Saturday and brought him home. He was very skinny and could hardly stand on his back legs. We think he might have been hit by a car or something along those lines because his back hips seem a little stiff when he's walking around. We contacted the police and the county animal shelter to find out if anyone has reported a lost dog and nobody has. We gave them our info and if anyone reports a dog like him missing they will contact us. We also took him to our local vet to see if maybe they might know who his owners might be and they didn't. He has no ID including anything imbedded under the skin. He's a full blooded beagle so I would think that someone would have noticed he was missing.

Boomer
Anyway, he's doing fine. He's not as weak as he was when Hubby first brought him home and he is getting along fine with everyone...even our Bishon. Our Bishon isn't very happy with his new friend, but in time we hope that will change. What we think is really neat about Boomer is that he is marked exactly like the beagle mix we had back in Michigan. He was a 3/4 beagle and 1/4 blood hound and looked exactly like Boomer only bigger...only Boomers face is a lighter brown.

"So, how long is this Boomer going to be here??"

If you haven't already, check with the vet about hip dysplasia. Any dog can get it. My JRT has it, but he is being treated for it and it doesn't bother him hardly ever.

He's beautiful!! and very lucky to have found you and your husband.
I rescued my dog from the pound 8 years ago. She is part beagle and part blue tick hound. Her markins are almost identicle to Boomers but like your other dog, she is much bigger!
Brightest blessings
Heather
