How I read Psalms and Proverbs EverydayPosted on Wednesday 25 October 2006 at 8:00 AM - Post CommentI'm not sure where I heard it, but it was back in my early days of being a Christian. A radio pastor was talking about reading the Bible and how you can read through the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs each month. That was really interesting to me because I was trying to figure out a good reading plan for the Bible. The pastor explained that if you read 5 Psalms each day that you'll read the entire book of Psalms in one month, then you can begin again the next month. It works out to 5 Psalms each day for 30 days, if there are 31 days in the month I'll usually either read something else or just pick 5 Psalms to read. I've gone through in my Bible and numbered all the Psalms for the days of the month so I don't have to sit and figure out which ones to read on what day. Then for the book of Proverbs, there are 31 chapters that works out to 1 chapter each day of the month. Today is the 25th, so I read chapter 25.I've been enjoying sharing my reading with Boo. He loves to be read to and is beginning to read the Bible on his own. Wow.  Praise God!Well...I'm off to spend some study time in the Word and then I have a long list of chores to tackle. Today I'm studying Genesis37 and Acts 2.
