Homemade Cleaners

I have a lot of recipes for homemade cleaners written down in my household binder. I'll be posting them all this week. I read somewhere to write the recipe directly on your spray bottle (or what ever container you are using for your cleaner) so that when you need to make more you don't have to hunt for the recipe and that has worked really well for me...one who tends to lose things. Here are two all-purpose cleaners that I use, the first one is for heavy duty cleaning the second is for light cleaning.
General Cleaner
1/4 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) 1 cup household ammonia 1/2 cup white vinegar 1 gallon warm water
Mix ingredients and store in tightly capped container. To use, pour cleaner into a squirt bottle. At about 40 cents a gallon, this cleaner is not only multi-purpose, but very budget friendly.
All-Purpose Cleaner
1 teaspoon borax 1/2 teaspoon washing soda 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
In a spray bottle that will hold at least a pint, combine the ingredients. Add 1 cup very hot water and shake well, mixing and dissolving the dry ingredients. To use, simply spray and wipe. This can be stored indefinitely.
