Recipe: Cup Cake ConesPosted on Monday 24 July 2006 at 4:49 PM in In The Kitchen - Post CommentIf you need a kids birthday idea, have a bake sale coming up, or have to provide a snack for a bunch of kids...these are always a hit for me:Cup Cake Cones 1 box of cake mix (or your favorite homemade recipe) 1 tub frosting (or your favorite homemade recipe) candy decorations 24-30 wafer ice cream cones (the ones with flat bottoms) Fill each cone 1/2-2/3's with batter and bake cones in a 400F oven for 15-18 minutes. If you have muffin tins, standing the cones in it makes them a little easier to move around and bake. Once cool, frost and decorate as desired. Another way to do this is to put the batter right into the muffin tins and place the cones top side down on the batter and bake that way. This gives you a visually higher mound on the cone, but the cake doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the cone.
