New Dogwood Tree

Yesterday we planted a little white dogwood tree in our front yard. Dogwoods have always been my favorite tree since I was a little girl. When we would spend summers in Pennsylvania with my great-grandmother, I spent hours outside playing under the old dogwood tree in her yard. It was a great climbing tree for a little girl, and the branches made a beautiful canapy around an imaginary house. It was also a nice tree to sit under and read books or play dolls. One day the tree we just planted will be old, and maybe some little girl will find it a great place to play too.
