WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!!

Well I have returned from my short trip to Mannasas VA ( near DC).  The training was very good but mostly it gave me the chance to slow down and really look at why I do what I do.  Sometimes we get so distracted by life that we forget why we decided to do the things we do.  That is me a lot fo times.  Why did I decide to do this or that?  Why am I homeschooling, why are my kids taking piano, why are my husband and I teaching TEENS at the church, why do I have a home business, etc.    I need to remember where the vision and passion came from that got me started here.  Least to say I am re-energized and refocused and very passionate about doing what I do.  Yeah!!!!

Here is what I re-claimed :

  1. I homeschool because I am passionate about the education my kids get.  I want there to be time to learn Godly character and about spiritual fruit as well as the academics.  I want them to have good relationships with their siblings and their father and I.

  • I have a home-based health and wellness business because I want to be home with my kids AND because I am passionate about helping others find ways to  improve their health and ways to afford what they need/ want (like organic food when gas prices are soaring over $3/gal.)  Years ago when our youngest son was ill, someone shared with our family a wealth of nutritional information that  changed  his health dramatically and our lives completely.

  • I am teaching teenagers at our church because my husband needs my support in this ministry and I feel strongly that I am to be beside him as his help-mate.  AND my teenage son thinks it is a good thing to have his parents involved with the TEENS (as opposed to being embarrassed).  Not to mention I have a desire to see young people discipled to be strong Christians with vision for the Kingdom of God.

  • I have a quite time everyday because I need and desire that quality time every day with the Lord.  I am passionate about being led by Him and honoring Him with my life.  I can not do that if I can not at least give Him my 1st hour of the day.  What a blessing it is to me!

  • I make time for Fridays  with my CHGs ( we had to do this week early because I was leaving town and one gal had to get kids to the dentist that day) important on my calendar because I need my girl time.  I need to bounce ideas off of those ladies.  I am very eager to have them speak into my life peace and truth.  And I am equally  passionate about giving back to my dear friends as well.

So I will end tonight with a question for you to ponder?  What are you doing with the hours of your day?

Why are you doing what you do and are you passionate about it?

Do you tend to forget why you chose to do those things? What helps you refocus?

Eager to hear your replies,

Angie
