Our Last coop field trip.

Our Last co-op field trip : Hiking like Lewis and Clark ... well, sort of.

Today was our family's last field trip day with our HOLES Homeschool co-op. To finish up our year on VA history and our lesson on Lewis and Clark's Expedition, we went to New Port News Park and did a lovely hike through the woods.  WE did letter boxing as we hiked the trails.  It was really a lot of fun!

I was remarking how wonderful I was doing this year with my allergies because I had been in the woods for about 2 hours with no sneezing or running, itchy eyes.  Then some of the boys started bouncing on a fallen tree and pollen and junk was floating through the air.  Well so much for bragging (my mother told me not to brag when I was little.... hmm!), I began a sneezing fit that lasted about 40 minutes.  Thankfully a friend had brought a roll of tissues or I would have been a total mess.  Least to say I was really glad to get back to our cars.  But it was a wonderful trip and a fabulous day for the hike.  I even think I could count that as my mini-workout for the day.

Well I am off now with my daughter to the store to find a few items I need for my weekend training conference.  My friend Marianne said a pair of black pants would be a great basic, but I had none .... or so I thought!  I found a pair just a few minutes before I sat down to blog that I have not worn in a while.  And they fit,  so that will be the pants to build the wardrobe around.  Saves me money and I really did not want to buy pants that hopefully would be too big in a months time.
