Drippy car Dealers Today

Today has been a weird day.  I woke up feeling weird.  I know I am close to my cycle date so that is probably the crux of it.  But anyway, I have done what I needed to do.  I went to the gym, helped the kids with school, and then took the boys to a friends house to play for a while.  Cathleen and I had time together alone, so we went for a special treat and then to look at a printer, since mine stopped functioning yesterday.    I was not prepared for the cost or the size of these new monsters.  And emotionally I just did not want to read all about each one and make a decision.  So we left.

Then we decided to stop and look at a van in the dealer-ship parking lot.  This is where the day just got nasty.  In moments there was a sales rep. approaching us.  First he laughs and says “You didn’t think we would leave that van unlocked all the way over here in the corner of the lot did you?’’  Yes I had tried the locks to show my daughter that it most likely was locked and it was.  But what did this guy think I was going to do?  Hot-wire it, in broad daylight, and take off with my 8 year old??  But that is not what made my stomach turn,  He continued to approach us and stick out his hand, saying, “So what brings you out here today Big MaMa?”  Yes he did approach me that way…"BIG MAMA!!!"  Now I was not offended by the big part of the comment because I know in some cultures that it supposed to be a complement…you know like “Sexy MaMa”.  But that was what made me sick.  This slick Willy was treating me like I was there to sale him something!  It only gets better.  He turns to my daughter and ask her, “How old are you Sugar”?  UGHH!Click Me! All this was said so drippy. I could not get in my van and leave fast enough.  I was so offended that I called the dealership back and told them so.  The manager's response was one of such shock I felt he thought I was lying.  He told me ELMO ( yes that was the name on the business card), now known to me as “Slick Willy” , had been with them for 5 years and they had "never had a complaint"!  Oh well, I guess I just bring out the descriptive compliments out of men!!!

Well I finally slowed down and had a cup of tea before heading to the church this evening.  Now I feel very nice and relaxed.  I called my Mom and Dad to see how all was there. My brother's doctor appointment went well yesterday.  They removed all the bandages and he can now get a shower, although Mom said it took some mathematical calculations and some ingenutiy to figure out how to get him in there with that unbendable leg and it's cage.  Click Me! Mark said the shower was Heaven on Earth.  Mom seemed better than yesterday when I talked with her.  I could tell she had finally been able to get some much needed rest.  Halelujah!  Mark's leg still looks like a twist of flesh and metal ( perhpas because it is!), but at least the places  where the screws go into the leg are starting to close up.  He still has a lot of swelling though.  Mom says one leg looks like the leg of a 250 pound man while the other, his normal leg, looks like that of a 140 lb man (which he is).

Have a blessed day.

Yuck! I don't blame you for calling that dealership and complaining...that was uncalled for!

Thanks for the tip on the mixer! I may on the one you mentioned...will seeing the cost make me go into early labor? LOL

Have a Blessed day!

WOW, you totally did the right thing by calling the manager. I get so upset at how disrespectful some people can be, and it seems like disrespectful people are EVERYWHERE some days! I hope you can relax and find you a good printer!!
