• 2007-May-1 - Long overdue update!

I couldn't believe it had been January since I did an entry here.  Things have been very busy - too busy - and I haven't been doing some of the things I love, like writing here.  Our weather has been really strange here.  We've had really hot days and then, like today, it turns really cold and windy.  It's been one of the coolest Springs I can remember. I love the cooler weather, though, especially for sleeping.  I'm still having those hot flashes here and there, so if I sleep through the night without one, it's bliss! Our irises have bloomed and our trees are in bud.  We did have blossoms on our fruit trees, but the cold snap wiped them out.    We have not had any fruit from our fruit trees yet and that's a real downer.  On an up note, a bird built a nest in the birdhouse my youngest son made for me two years ago.  It has three tiny little birds in it.  They are so cute now - little feathers and whips.  I have a picture of them after they first hatched and I'm going to go and get a picture of them now.  They are darling and I'm so glad to have a bird family in residence!
