• 2006-Jan-20 - Our weather

Yesterday we had snow.  It lasted all of 3 hours and melted just a quickly as it came.  That's the way it is here and frankly, I'm glad!  I like a little snow, but I don't want it to hang around!  We had a lot of snow last year and it was horrible trying to get out.  We have dirt roads that quickly turn to mud in the snow and rain.  We were having to drive the 4 wheel drive truck out to our cars parked on the pavement.  It was very inconvenient!  The boys loved it as they had a big paintball tournament and a football game out on the acreage, in the snow.  Must be a guy thing because I can't think of anything I'd rather do less!    They had a great time and I'm so glad we have a big place where they can play with their friends.

I got the neatest pot for my plant today!  It's a huge coffee cup and saucer and I wanted it for the middle of my table.  Won't that be cute?  I'll take a picture of it and share as soon as I get my plant repotted into it.  I got it at WalMart and I got a lot of comments about it as I wheeled it out to my car.

I got my first seed catalogue and it's really got me excited about my garden!  I can't wait to get started!  I'm hoping I get more catalogues soon as I'm anxious to see what else there is out there!  I'm seeing a lot of neat things in this one I have.

You must share--what seed catalog did you get ? I have started seeing a few of mine roll in -- I love to just read thru them like a book :)

Enjoy

We had snow like that recently, it snowed a good 3 inches and we played big, sledding and rolling around lol..then it was gone by afternoon. I do enjoy a good snow or three before the winter is gone- I love hallmarks n highlights of each season. But I confess to really enjoying sledding one day and thinking spring the next!! :)
