My Journey to a Quiet Life

• Thursday, November 8, 2007 - How to start out this New Blog?

Psalm 42:1

As the deer pants for the water, So my soul cries out for Thee.

Well first of all I will let you know there will be many spelling and grammatical errors in this Blog.  I know I will forget to use the spell check and I am a horrible speller. Just to let you know.

Now that,  that is out of the way I will start by introducing myself and my family.  My name is Brandi I am 24 years old, mother to three, wife and life long Help meat to one, Dustin.  We have been married for 4 years and been together for 7yrs.  Our life together started out the way most marriages start out today, in a very young, stupid, drug Utopian lifestyle.  He was fresh out of high school and it was my last year.  We met through friends and the downward spiral began.  We both went heavy into drug use.  Praise God is was a short lived part of our life together.   Five months after we met of course I got pregnant.  At the moment I found out it seemed like the end of my life.  It did not take long for God to get hold of me and start a journey I never knew I would walk.

When I was a few months pregnant with my son, I rededicated my life to Christ.  Oh what a joy to have Christ in my life again.  God had taken my awful sin and made something beautiful out of it.  My son, my life saver.  Without my gift from God, my son, I would be lost.  What a beautiful, wondrous child he was and still is today.  My God truly knew what would draw me back to his heart.  The gift of a child to a young woman who was not deserving of such grace.  Yet Gods grace in that time brought me back to his everlasting, loving arms. Still a babe in Christ, I started this merciful journey into the inner courts of the Lords tabernacle where I found myself in the presence of God.  Continually going through the refining trials that are before me everyday.  Searching, crying out to God for more of his Holy presence in my life.

Welcome to HSB. God's grace is more than sufficient and none of us are deserving that is what makes it so spectacular. I am glad that you came under Him. Bless you and your family.

As the others have said, God is good. We have all traveled down that dark road, but thank God for the light to guide us back on the right path. I look forward to hearing more from you. As yeah, I would love a spell check on the thing, lol.

I have never traveled down the dark road as I have always had God in my life. Many have been there as you were and found God somehow along the way. I am so very happy for you.
