Rhubarb

I did a couple things in the yard tonight.  I put two black plastic bins around my potatoes.  I harvested a bunch of rhubarb, cut it up and vacuum packed.  I ended up with 18 cups chopped.  This will be the last harvest of the year, so the plants can store up enough energy for the winter.  I will need to divide the rhubarb this fall - I notice that there are many stalks, but they are much thinner than normal.  I decided on a location for the compost bin I got two weeks ago - my kitchen scraps will go in it.  Now the dog won't be able to get into it!  I will use the other three open bins for garden weeds, grass trimmings, leaves, etc.

Rod said that the sandwich rolls were GREAT - he ate one last night, one this morning and took one to work with his lunch.

You sound very busy and very experienced on the home-making front. I love reading your daily posts and finding out what you have been making next etc.

I look forward to coming here on a regular basis.
