Homeschool tracker

I've had some inquiries as to what Homeschool Tracker is.  It is a website that offers a basic free package that will keep track of a report card for each of your children.  All you have to do is input the marks and what your term beginnings and endings will be and they will calculate the GPA.  At the end of the year you can print out the report card or just save it on your computer.  It's great if your province or state requires that you keep a record of tests and project marks. It's even better because it is easy!  You can also type in your lesson plans print them out for each week.  I'm pretty sure the site is: www.homeschooltracker.com

I hope this helps everyone!

Homeschooling Mommy

I have tried very hard to come up with plans as we head down the road on this homeschooling journey.  Every year I think I have found the perfect plan to have it turned upside down in a matter of weeks.  So this year I just started setting goals.  For example by the end of the week we need to have 10 pgs of math done.  That could mean we do three in one day and only one the next.  It seems to work for me.  The only resource that is set in stone for me is the Homeschool Tracker Basic.  It keeps track of the kids marks for me for free.  That is the only homeschooling resource I won't live without.

Big Mac Recipe

I don't know about your children but mine love McDonalds.  I don't!  I would rather make them a meal where I know what is included in it.  Everyone needs a treat now and then...even kids.  I found something though that has made those trips to McD's lees frequent.  The recipe to their secret sauce.  So for those of you who would like to make your own burgers but still enjoy the taste of fast food, here is the recipe:

1c. Miracle Whip

1/2 c. sweet pickle relish

1/3 c. French dressing to taste

1 tbsp. white sugar

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. dried onion flakes

Mix together.  Refigerate if you aren't using it all.  Not sure how long it lasts in the frig...it never lasts that long.

Where has the time gone?

Where has the time gone?  It has been almost a year since I signed on here and then I got side tracked.  I think the main problem was that I found FACEBOOK.  Very addictive but I have found a lot of relatives, college friends and even homeschoolers who I have never met before.  What a great resource to have to reach out for comfort or help.  My goal here is to make friends where we can share stories, lesson ideas, recipes and anecdotes.  So I hope to make my blog a place to come to find some resource help.  It will take time, be patient with me.  In the mean time come chat on facebook.
