Happy New Year **2008**
Monday, December 31, 2007

As we look forward to the New Year I find myself reflecting on all the blessings God has given us in 2007.
God led us through financial difficulties, brought me home as a homemaker, helped doug to push through the stressful semester where he finally graduated in May with his Registered Nursing Degree, brought us back to our home-state of NY where we found a beautiful townhome overlooking a brooke with ducks, geeses and our favorite Christmas Goose Honking, and doug recieved a job with AWESOME benefits. He blessed me with a renewed relationship with my parents, the opportunity to re-connect with old friends and family, and has allowed us to settle into a church now.
By Far doug and I have learned so much. From better stewardship to a closer relationship with God.
I can only imagine what He has in store for us as we begin a new year in 2008. Already I have finally signed up for a quilting class, look forward to reading more books of old and new, working together with my husband to continue getting rid of debt, and again, awaiting the timing to adopt the child/ren we've been waiting so long to love.
Thank You Lord for all you've blessed us with...even through the darkest hours, you have always been our sense of normalcy. Thank You dear friends for sharing with me, the life and musings I've posted on HSB. Happy New Year! May you be blessed abundantly and kept tightly under His wing.

Isn't it great to sit down and reflect on all the goodness the Lord has poured out on us.
I just happened upon your blog, so not sure what you meant about the adoption part of your blessings, but I will pray that God leads you through whatever that might be with regards to adoption....we have adopted three....one from Thailand and two from Africa...so I have a huge heart for adoption.
Blessings,
Connie

What a great post ... I'm sorry you are dealing with PCOS/fertility issues. That was never a problem for me at all. I wish you all the best in adopting and bringing children into your life. I'll see you on my other blog - Fit by 40!
