Cinderella Meets Caveman - A Surprise Gift From Christian Homemaking
Tuesday, December 8, 2009
A few weeks ago, I shared the website I've been a part of for awhile now. They have managed to change over the site to a new look and new focus. Christian Homemaking has been a delightful help in my change from workforce to homemaker. In celebration of the new site, I shared a giveaway they were having and couldn't believe my eyes when I found out I had won a book.

Description
"Many relationship specialists believe marriages fail because of struggles with communication, money, in–laws, kids, or sex. Dr. David Clarke sees a simpler but deeper problem that many readers will instantly relate to: boredom. Boredom kills intimacy and squeezes the passion out of relationships. Dr. Clark applies the common definition of insanity—doing the same things and expecting different results—to marriages. As women continue to live out Cinderella–like roles, and as men repeat caveman–like behaviors, they drain the spontaneity and joy out of their relationships. Filled with humor and rich with insight, this creative approach to a more fulfilling marriage empowers readers to... see how they built a boring marriage and how they can correct their Cinderella and caveman mistakes resolve conflicts in a way that creates closeness build intimacy through creating a romantic mood, meeting core needs, and achieving a one–flesh connection."
This book has come at a good time. With Jackson's death, we've found it hard to find the spark. Oh, we have intimacy. The type that comes with great loss, but I think this book will give us some tips to put the spark back in our marriage and move forward with intimacy with each other, not just focusing on "trying again" but on our LOVE for each other, which started the whole marriage. God hand-picked us to be with each other. We fit. So why not work to reach and meet each others needs.
Thank You Christian Homemaking! It's the perfect gift for where we are right now.
