As morale for the American Public is slightly low, I wanted something to help us reflect on what our Founding Fathers based this country on so many years ago. In doing so, my site is dedicated to those who put their lives on the line each day to save lives. Military Men and Women, Dr.s, Nurses, and other medical staff, Firemen and women, Poliece Men and Women, as well as MANY others. May God Bless and Protect each one as they serve to protect us. My Political decision won't be based on words freely spoken, but on actions that deserve my vote. I will vote based on the Love of my country as well as it's people and for those who freely fight to keep me safe. While I don't enjoy war with anyone, including the innocent, I also want to be sure those who are fighting for my freedom and their families are kept safe and not put in harms way. Thats where my vote and that of other Americans is most important. To save our futures and to be united. Please Join me in prayer for my Country as we embark on hard decisions and fight for the freedoms and privledges set forth by our Founding Fathers and fought so bravely over the years by American Soldiers. I pray also for friends and family of other soldiers from other countries who also fight for the freedoms of their countries. In God may we ALL trust! Love to each and every one of you no matter what country your from. ~Rebekah
***Our Small Garden***

What your seeing is a Lasagne Garden made with Newspapers over grass, then petemoss, directly topped with manuere and soil, THEN repeated again with petemoss, manure and soil until I got the desired height.
Sweet 100's are producing 100's of little tomatoes now while our peppers are coming along nicely. Cuces are growing up the vine like mad ...but the ONE issue we're having. See the bald spot in the center of the garden?...that's SUPPOSED to be all my different kinds of lettuce. WELL, Edward, the cute but pesky woodchuck (groundhog) has eaten them to stubs. I have NO LETTUCE.
SO, I'm trying to figure out how to deal with this critter. He's SMART. We put a plastic bag over them one night and Edward (the woodchuck) pulled it off. I can't believe I've named him, I'm not close to him now that he's wripped my dream of making a FULL SALAD directly from my garden. Now I have to depend on the local farmers market, which isn't so bad because we're supporting them, but I wanted the good feeling of having grown my own lettuce.
So I'm trying to figure out what to do for next years gardening season. Nip this situation in the bud.

I've been lasagna gardening, too!! My husband says every day! "THis garden is unbelieveable. You have done a great job with the garden this year, dear." He's quite proud of my efforts. I have my trouble spots, too. I replanted a few things and the cat dug them. I still have earwigs like mad. I should put up some new update pictures today.

What a great idea for a garden. That's something me and the kids could do next year.
I am so glad to hear some patriotic music coming from my computer. It is really special and worthy of being heard especially since like you said in your intro, morale is low. NOT at my house.
Thank you,
Pam

I have to admit I found myself chuckling about the named woodchuck, sorry!
These little pests can actually make good pets! LOL
I would suggest ling in wait around dusk and throwing a blanket or some such over him to catch him. Then put him in a box and take him byebye.
These animals don't see very well and may well throw a little hissy fit when you're up close but a few feet away and they calm right down.
(We kept one in an aquarium filled with dirt and he was entirely happy - would come up to the glass sides and 'smile' while we watched his industrious tunnel-making. The cat got him tho'.)
Good luck!874965
