Today is the big day!!!!

I am so very excited to have my friends here today!!!! One is traveling from Oklahoma, the other from Nashville!!! I am sooooo excited!!!! My home will be filled with friends and children. Can't get much better than that!!!!

The girls worked very hard in their room yesterday getting it all cleaned up. They would so love to have their own rooms. Truthfully, they are sharing the smallest room up there. I'd like to get them bunk beds, which would give them more floor space...but the bunks we do have are too tall for their room. We were blessed with a bunk bed unit for Thomas' room that fits the ceiling height. Maybe it's time to look for another one of those units.

Rebecca sounded just like her Mama yesterday while she was helping them clean! I told her that she's too young to sound like her Mama!!    She had the grand idea of putting all the little toys into bags...to be sorted later. I told her that we'd get around to sorting them one of these days..and that when we do, they will have forgotten what was even in there! Sounds like a good time to get rid of unwanted, un-played with toys!

Thomas has been making bows. He is so creative. He's cutting down small trees, skinning, bending and putting strings on them. I'm always amazed at his abilities!!!!

The rain we had yesterday...whew!! The creek was sure flowing fast!!! It was chocolate brown...all that soil washing down the creek. Our driveway is suffering for it all too...there's one area near the top that needs to be re-paved...and each rain washes a bit more out of it. Toby asked me to check our finances to see if we could afford to get some bags of asphalt stuff to begin repairing it.

Hmmm..finances....ick...is there ever "enough"?? The Burb also needs some work...front end alignment, tires balanced & rotated, new shocks, brake job. The first two we'll have a shop to (cause we don't have an alignment rack or tire balancer..otherwise, I'm sure my beloved would do those too!). The rest, Honey will take care of. He's found a new place online that has better prices for parts...guess we need to make up that shopping list.

Let's see...what else is needed? New tires for the Grasshopper mower, repairs to the weedeater, new front tire for the tractor, several other small repair needs, some parts for Toby's truck, not to mention hay for the coming winter......

Okay...finances....I so don't want to think about it!!!

Back to my excitement!! Yes, that's a better subject!!!!

I have limited my computer time to just an hour this morning. I have sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, hamburger/hot dog bun baking, baked beans starting, hamburger patty forming, bathroom cleaning, bed making, clearing off the utility room countering to do. (the counter is filled with plants that belong on the porch..but were brought inside due to the winds). I want to get everything finished up and be done before everyone arrives. The rest of the day will be spent just relaxing and enjoying everyone's company!!!
