Whew!

So much for sleeping in and snuggling with my Natalie!!!

Natalie set her alarm clock so she could get up and see her Daddy off to work. How sweet is that?! We went back to bed to cuddle and talk. We did talk for quite awhile. I love those personal chats with my babes. They astound me with their compassion, love, understanding and knowledge. Yep, I'm one proud Mama!

The rain blew through here earlier..bringing LOUD thunder and lightning with it!

The creek is flowing..rapidly....if we had any plans of going somewhere, they'd be canceled now! I'm not crossing it!

We're smelling a not too pleasant smell in some rooms of the house..not sure what's causing it..but I sure pray it's not a septic tank issue. This is one time I sure wish my Dad were here!! (and not just for his knowledge in this area!!)

So, now I'm up..though I'd like to still be sleeping...it's time to find a good baked bean recipe. And then start on some kitchen work...

Setting her alarm to see Daddy off... now that is one for the memory banks!
Hope you get your sleep issue figured out soon. I've been going through the same thing as of late. I will hit the sack and doze off, only to be wide awake 20-30 minutes later with no sleep in sight!

Hmm do you think the smell could be mice? We've found dead mice in the house before from the poison block we put out, and the smell can be quite daunting.
I know what ya mean about the sleep thing...I'm ready for bed by 5 or 6, but the kids don't go to bed until 8:30 or 9, and by then I've gotten a 2nd wind!

What a sweet girl!

Did you find the source of the smell? I hate, hate, hate strange bad smells in my house. I'm constantly sniffing around thinking I'm smelling something - David makes fun of me and my imaginary smells.
