Abundant Blessings Farm

For the last couple of nights, I am fighting sleep about 6pm...and am still awhile till it's bedtime. Then, when I get everyone settled down..no easy task when it's warming up and the days are lasting longer...I cannot fall asleep.

Last night, I watched some tv..but the tv is right outside our bedroom door, so I can't have it too loud. Tonight, I came into the office...starting sorting through some papers here on the desk while waiting for the computer to turn on.

And here I sit...wide awake. I know I'll be tired when the sun comes up...but I just can't seem to get to sleep. Maybe it's too warm in our bedroom. We did get some rain this afternoon (Thank you, Lord!), and that did lower the temperature a bit. Maybe I'm just missing those lovely spring days...for they seem to be gone altogether now. Bummer....

We spent today doing some cleaning. When Honey got home, we loaded his truck up with the bags (and bags..and bags) of clothes and children's shoes to donate to the thrift store. I can't tell you how good it feels to know that stuff is leaving here. Oh, I miss the memories of little Thomas wearing those little boy clothes, but the memories are quite vivid for me. But, to know that I don't have to worry about where to store this stuff...or trip over it...or move it around in the trailer....those things make it quite worthwhile to donate it. Plus, it's going to a good cause. Double positives!!!

Now, our bedroom is another story. I am determined to sell what's left...and to make sure I do, I've placed it in our bedroom. Yep, it now looks like a garage in there..and I hate it! All the more push to get it sold!! The money couldn't come at a better time...it's time to hit the used book sale next month and begin buying our books for the coming school year. That is, if we ever finish the current school year...

I'm off to answer a couple of e-mails..then try to hit the sheets..gently so as not to wake my beloved ...and get some sleep...
