What a nice day!

We spent today at a friend's home. It was a birthday party for two of her daughters. Getting to spend time with friends, both old and new, was such fun! The children all had a great time...which is truly a neat thing considering just how many there were! I don't think I'd be exaggerating when I say there were probably 30 children (from 3 mos to late teens). It was refreshing to see all of them encouraging each other while playing games. And, of course, I so enjoyed talking with the other Mamas!! What a nice way to spend a day. We didn't really want to leave for home...

We capped off the day with a visit to another friend's home. This one was unplanned...and happened at midnight! We had bad weather...and our home has no basement...or really a safe place to be in the event of a tornado. So, our friends have graciously told us to come hide out at their home if we ever need to... That's exactly what we did...loaded everyone up and headed over there. We spent an hour talking and eating her cookies in her basement before heading back home. It was not even sprinkling on the return trip home. Strange weather!

I am always in awe of the friendships we've been blessed with since our move to TN. The Lord has been gracious to us and given us so many wonderful friends. What a blessing.
