How did it get to be Monday again? And please tell me how it got to be the end of another month already? This year is flying by even faster than last year did!

We had a nice weekend. Sure didn't want to give Honey back to Home Depot this morning. Life would be perfect if he could work at home. That's always been our dream. Ahhh..having my Honey home with us all the time? Could life get any better than that?? I think not.

We already have plant sprouts coming up! We see lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, cantaloupe, watermelon and beans!! It's so neat to plant those tiny little seeds and see a tiny little plant popping out. How wonderful our Creator is to have created this!!

Had a bit of excitement over the weekend...

Toby and the children took the dogs to get their rabies shots on Saturday. Penny couldn't get a shot due to her pregnancy. Ernestine got the rabies shot and puppy booster shot. Ernie got the rabies shot.

Came home, ate supper and then went outside.

Ernie got out when Natalie was going inside to get a drink. He has been doing that way too much lately. Thomas has to run off after him. When he gets tired (Ernie), he comes right to him. Silly dog. Anyhow, he got out, ran around the house and came to me. I was holding him when Toby noticed that he had some sort of lump on the side of his face. Upon looking closer, we saw that he had some lumps on his head too. I came in and did some research to see what it could be...this is what I found..... http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/vacreact.html Odd that Ernie looks just like the dog in the photos! But, that's what his head looked like. So, we knew it was a reaction to the rabies vaccine.

Called the vet and he said to bring him right in. So, Toby and Thomas loaded up and went to town. Ernie was given a shot of Benadryl. Then the vet said he'd take him home with him. I guess others have had this happen and they are calling him later because the hives are forming again. It was easier to have him at his home. So, Ernie got to spend the night at the vet's home! I'll bet it was one loud vet's home that night...for when they went to pick him up yesterday morning, the vet said he had two dachshunds spend the night with him for the same reason.

Ernie's home and doing fine now. Poor little guy. And Thomas is a happy boy to have his dog back where he belongs!

Penny is getting huge. Toby calls her the Puppy Bus. She has one week from Wednesday until she's due. Exciting times will soon be here!

A busy week ahead....including a trip to Sam's to stock up on yeast and some other items. A trip to the orthodontist for Thomas and the eye Dr for Honey and I. And a visit from a wonderful friend of Rebecca's. We let her know that another mutual friend needed her sheep sheared...so she's planning a trip down south here to take care of that and then will spend the night with Rebecca. I love that she has such a great friend. They don't get to spend anywhere near as much time together as they'd like..but that makes the time they do get so much sweeter.

A good friend is such a blessing. I am blessed to have several. And I cherish each one of them. :)

I'm listening to some music online. One song has me in tears. We used to sing it at church. The song is "His Grace Covers Me". Brings me to tears every time I hear it. A simple song, but it says so much....

Our Keepers/Contenders' year is winding down. Nearly time for our end of the year banquet. I need to get the list of awards finished up and ordered. It's been a year of change for our group, but I think the changes are for the better. Lost some members, added some new ones. But, a good year!

Time to get some more laundry in the washer. I'm planning to hang it on the line this morning. The drizzling rain is supposed to be over by 6, so I'm just putting it in the basket till the sun comes up and the skies clear. Already have two loads waiting...a few more to go!
