Saturday night....

Ha!! As I started to title this entry, that just came to mind. Of course I know where my children are...they are where they always are...right here with Daddy and I!

Okay....so....I'm not going anywhere. Sorry if I caused you any distress!
I will say that it's nice to know I would be missed. Thank you for your comments and encouragement!!!!

I have decided that I have been here on HSB too long to leave. This July, I will have been here for 3 years. That's too long to walk away from. Also, my reason for starting this blog was so my family and friends who live far away could keep up with our daily goings on. I had considered making my blog completely private...but what a hassle that would be. And the comments I received, both publicly and privately, showed me that my little ole blog is an encouragement to others even when they don't tell me so. I love being an encouragement to others...and who am I to let down my adoring fans?! Ha! (anyone who knows me at all knows that was a joke!)

The last week has been one of reflection and thought for me. I have come to realize that I am just the way God meant for me to be. I have always been an optimist. And even though situations in life can be challenging, that is what I will remain. My Honey calls me the eternal optimist. He needs me to be what I am. We are the perfect balance. He grounds me and I lift him up. Neither of us are complete and whole without the other.

Now....onto bigger and better things.....

This week has been a busy one. I am so ready for a quiet weekend. We just finished our pizza and movie night. We watched "Saving Sarah Cain". A pretty good movie...could have had a better ending...but being the complete romantic that I am, I can imagine a great ending! These same folks made "The Last Sin Eater". I'll be putting it in our Netflix queue. We have no real plans for the weekend, other than rest and some fence repair. The grass is loving all the rain we've been having...and is growing wonderfully. Honey has been praying all winter for a great grass and hay season this year. :)

A storm blew through our area earlier today. A couple of friends from Keepers were going home to near where the storms were worst...praying they are all safe and sound. We didn't have any damage here, but just west of us, a tornado touched down. We sure are in a protected area here. We were told by a friend that we live in a sort of bowl....it would seem that's true. Down here in the holler...the storms tend to go just south or just north of us. How wonderful of our Lord to give us a home with this security. :)
Honey may have some job changes coming up soon. I tell him he's such a valuable part of the store that they are ready to take him further. He does not have a puffed up opinion of himself, so he sometimes doesn't quite believe what I tell him. He thinks my opinion of him is jaded by my love for him....could be...but not on this one!

Our dog, Penny, is due with another litter of pups on May 7th. We had not planned for her to be bred again....but when I found out that the heat cycle would last about 4 weeks...there was no way we could put up with the whining, moaning, barking, etc from the both of them for that long! So, another litter of adorable tiny pups will be gracing our home soon.

Rebecca is studying for her permit test. She's planning to take the test after our next dentist appmt. The driver's license office is right across the road from the dentist. Since all four children are going for a cleaning soon, she said she'd wait till then. She's such a sensible young lady...with the cost of gas, I so appreciate her sensibility! She has her new glasses. A complete change from her normal choice. But, this one she picked out on her own...it's not a style I would have chosen for her...but she's 15...time for her own ideas and opinions to mean a bit more than Mama's.

Thomas participated in another Airsoft war this week. He so enjoys those!! Such good friends we are blessed with!!! He's ordered a blow dart and knife from the Pearl Outdoor website. Since they are here in TN, it shouldn't take too long to get them!

Natalie and Mary have been playing Polly Pocket quite alot lately. They both want fiances for their girls. They want to have weddings for their girls. How sweet is that?!

My folks left this past Wednesday. It's always sad around here when they leave. We just love having them here. They sure will be missed till they return to us!!!

Saw that the property near us....their land is across the road from us and goes to the next road over...is for sale. I looked it up and found that they have the same acreage we do (they have 82.40 acres, we have 82.30). The asking price is quite high. If there were to get that....that would mean the prices for land have more than quadrupled in the four years we have been here! That's incredible!

Guess this is the end of my post for today. See...when I don't blog for a week, there's so much to talk about!

Have a blessed weekend!!!

I am so glad you are staying around. I don't comment a lot but I do enjoy reading your blog.
