A rainy, icky day

Today was a rainy, icky day. We made a trip to town. Needed to return some movies to the library, get baking supplies for Keepers this Friday and pick up Honey's blood pressure medicine.

I am really looking forward to Keepers this week. We have such a great group of Moms and children. I am glad I took the plunge and started this group last year. We've had some changes..some I made, some were just made for me....but all for the better. I think those who are there are truly interested in being there. 

We are still working on the baking badge for the Keepers. This week, we'll be making pies and cobblers. Yummo!! The Contenders will be learning sign language. What fun we will have!!!

After the meeting, Natalie will go home with her friend Carly to celebrate her birthday. Carly's brother, Charles, will spend the night with us. It's so nice to have a home that my children love bringing their friends home to..and that their friends really seem to enjoy being here too. I always wanted a home that was welcoming. I always wanted my children home, with their friends here, rather than my children off at their friends' homes.

This weekend will be busy. Rebecca and Thomas will be going to the youth's game night at church. They are both really looking forward to this. I am so glad that they enjoy their youth activities so much. I am planning to attend my first ladies fellowship with the ladies at church. I haven't ever been to one..but have been asked each month if I can make it. This month happens to work out well that I can indeed attend. Due to some conflicts, I am a bit anxious about going. I shouldn't let others bother me...but I am still human. Praying that the issues that are there could be resolved. That would be a most wonderful blessing to me.

Mary had a most excellent birthday! She was so thrilled to have her friends celebrate her birthday with her! She hasn't quit talking about how much fun she had! I'm so thankful for true, honest friends. It sure makes life that much sweeter.

My Honey is going on a work trip! He will be going to a training seminar in Atlanta soon. It's an honor for him to be chosen. I am happy he's finally seeing some recognition of the outstanding job he does each and every day. He gives it his all...and he truly works as working for the Lord.

It's time for my shower...bedtime will be here in about 2 hours...lots to do before that hour arrives! :)

May I ask you what is Keepers.. Is it a group you started by yourself or what. Did you hear about it from someone else. What do you all do there?? I have a few friends who are stay at home moms who are looking for something to do together we used to be in MOPS, but they no longer have it here.. Please send me a message and let me know..
