Happy Birthday, Rebecca!!!!

Today is my sweet babe's 13th birthday! Rebecca is now a teenangel... I like that better than teenager. I told Rebecca that I didn't want to call her a teenager because of the negative aspects of that word. She told me that I should call her a teenager and she would change the negatives associated with it. That's my girl! She is such a huge source of pride and joy to me.

She is such a great daughter.

Everything from her pregnancy and birth to 13th birthday has been so easy with Rebecca. She is such a great daughter.

Rebecca has her head on straight and isn't swayed by public opinion. She does what's right just because it's right. She would give her life to protect her siblings. She is a good friend. She is a great daughter.

The whole world is in front of her. But, I want her to never leave! I know she has to spread her wings...just don't want those wings to take her away from me. I know....I know...at some point, ya gotta cut the apron strings...and I agree with that...but my heart would be so lonely without her! She is a great daughter.

We are going to the mall shopping, just the two of us. I am looking forward to the time together. She is a great daughter.

Her heart is pure and true. Her devotion to her family is obvious. Her love of life is genuine. She is a great daughter.

I still can't believe she is 13...but then, she is so much a part of me, that I can't remember not having her. She is a great daughter.

So, Happy Birthday to my Peanut!!!! And, yes, you are a great daughter!!!!!

Happy belated birthday to your daughter. I like the word teenangel. We, too, find the word teenager has negative connotations. So, I have taken to calling them young men and young women. Enjoy this time with your young lady.
