A new week, a new attitude

It's Monday again..where does the time go anyhow??!

This week, we return to our normal routine of school work, piano and Keepers/Contenders. It's been too long since we've been in this routine and I'm ready to be normal again.

My Natalie is up and at 'em already...it's only 6:30 and she's hitting the books! She likes to get up first and be finished with her school work first. I'm sure she'll need a bit of help since it's been a few weeks since we've done schoolwork. But, she's a smart cookie, so maybe I'm wrong.

Mary is ready...beyond ready...to learn to read. She's been learning sight words, but the time is here to really teach her to read. She can't wait!!!!

Thomas and Rebecca are still sleeping...they both will sleep late if allowed..which is what they've been doing..so the change back to normal may not be their most welcome thought this morning.

Church yesterday challenged me...the new year, the new resolutions...the challenges of a pastor. What a treasure Bro Dino is to our family. And how sweet of the congregation to sing Happy Anniversary to us yesterday!

Thanks to all of you for praying for me...and for us. The hard days are becoming a memory...those trials at least. I know there will be more to come...'tis life. But, I am much more content than I was just a few short days ago. Too many things weighing on my mind at once....

Tomorrow is Mom's night out...and I so look forward to this each month!!! We're eating Mexican...yummy!!!

And Friday, we return to Keepers/Contenders. My children are ready to see their friends again. I've sent out welcome back reminders to our members and have heard back from most that they are indeed coming...that makes my day! The Keepers will be earning their baking badge...and a helpful Dad is teaching the Contenders the game of chess. Should be a fun day!!! Of course, any day hanging out with my friends...and my children hanging out with their friends..is a great day!!

I'm off to work on that laundry mountain that always finds its way here on Monday morning..and to see how my little genious is doing... :)
