Wednesday....or is it?

Today feels like a Monday..yet when I look at the calendar, it shows that it's Wednesday...will be an odd week... :)

We so enjoyed having Honey home yesterday. Wish he could be here all the time...wouldn't that be a huge dream come true?

Martha and Penny left for home yesterday. We miss them already. It was a nice, relaxing Christmas...and one I'm not really ready to let go.

Mom and Dad are leaving today...also for Florida. Wonder if the 18* morning we are having today will be a push for them to head to warmer climates?!

My awesome Rebecca took down most of the decorations in the living room yesterday. I helped her finish up after I cleaned the kitchen...sweeping, mopping, dishes, general pickup...all things I hadn't done in a couple of days. It feels good to have that all done.

Thomas took down most of the outside decorations yesterday. The wind was blowing...and blowing at 30mph! So, he didn't get on the ladder to take down the lights he put up seemingly just a short time ago.

When he went out for the last box, he came in telling us.... "IT'S SNOWING!!" Yepper...we had snow flakes falling from the sky!!! It was so neat to see!!! The flakes piled up on the Burb and car...melted once it hit the ground, but so neat to see while it was falling. It was 37* when it was coming down....wish it had been just a touch colder so it would have built up. Who knows..maybe we'll get more snow this year. It was so nice seeing snow fall on New Year's day!!

We are going to put away all of those Christmas boxes today..but first have some organizing to do in the attic. But, we are home all day..and I don't foresee us having to go anywhere for the rest of the week, other than church tonight.

This past Sunday, Bro Dino preached a message that just hit home. Toby and I both wish we had it on tape. Or podcast...for my Honey's iPod . It was a perfect message for where we are at the moment. I am soooo very thankful for Bro Dino's faithfulness in preaching messages that hit home so perfectly.

Tomorrow is a funeral for a nephew of a man from our church. What a sad story..the nephew was on an Air-Evac team flight..and the flight crashed while spotting a lost hunter. How very sad....

The new year brings with it the promise of a good year. Last year was a tough one for our family. I have a post formulating in my mind to sum that year up...if I get time later, I'll post it. I'm also writing a long love letter to my beloved...regarding our 16th year of marriage...since our 17th annivesary is coming up this Saturday. How very blessed I am to have my man!!!!

'Tis cold this morning and I'm ready for something warm to eat...

Happy Anniversary this weekend....I too wish dh could be home every day...I would love it if we could work the farm together...definately would be a dream come true.
