Been a bit too long...

So, it's been a bit too long since I've updated here...

I've finally been able to log into my homeschool blog, so have spent more time over there lately...

We have new critters here on the farm...three adorable dachshund pups!!! Penny had four babes, but the smallest one didn't make it. It was quite sad..and even sadder for Natalie. That pup was born next to her on the couch!

We have been battling sickness this past week. We all seem to be on the upside of it...except for my beloved.  I believe his is just beginning. Would appreciate your prayers for it to be quickly and easily gone!

The weather is turning colder here in Tennessee. Much more November like. It was way too hot this year..and stayed that way for far too long! It was windy and chilly today. Supposed to get below freezing tonight. I do so wish we had a fireplace.....would love to snuggle up with my Honey in front of a beautiful glowing fire. Maybe someday...who knows what the future holds for our family? Only God does at this point.

On my way to town this evening for my monthly Mom's night out, I saw 7 deer in our side pasture! What a beautiful sight!! I'm going to try to get a photo of them tomorrow evening, if they are present again. I'd also like to go for a walk into our ravine to snap some photos of the gorgeous fall colors. I missed the foliage a great deal all those years while living in Florida. Growing up on our farm in NY, we lived on the top of a hill...and looked down over the pastures and fields below...it looked like a patchwork quilt every fall. Pleasant memories...

Sunday would have been my Aunt Di's 54th birthday. She went home to Jesus 12 years ago....and I still miss her like it was yesterday. She was a huge influence on my growing up years...and I so look forward to seeing her again one day.

Tis time for slumber now...will try not to stay away as long next time! :)
