Ahhhh...vacation....

This past week has been wonderful...my Honey is home on vacation!! We haven't had to share him with Home Depot since last Friday. I sooooo love having him home. If only he could stay here always. Life is so much better when we're all together.

Monday will be a sad day around here...we have to give him back for the day.

Three cows got out today. What good neighbors we have...she called to let me know they were in the neighbor's driveway (no one lives there presently). We all loaded up in the Burb to go put them back. Yes, all six of us loaded up and went to do this job. We've been told that we travel in a pack...'tis true!

Put those cows back in, then rode up this driveway to find the hole they made. Found that...Thomas and I stayed there, fixing what we could of the fence and making sure the escapees didn't try their move again. We had a nice talk whilst we waited for Honey to bring some fence repair items. Love hanging out with my babes!!!

Yesterday, we went to Nashville to Travellers Rest Plantation with our homeschool group. We had 32 in our group... 24 children from 6 Mamas. Yep, homeschoolers to be sure!  It was their 19th Century Trades Festival. What a fun time we had there!!

After we left, we went to eat at Golden Corral. Can you say EXPENSIVE?? Then my children sweet talked their Daddy into taking them to the mall to wander around. It was such a nice time, just walking together. We left at 10am that morning and arrived back home at 9:30pm that night. Whew! A long, but great day!!

My beloved has been working on finishing off Natalie and Mary's closet. He's almost done. If it had not been for the impromptu fence repair today, he'd be finished now. It has been a slow process since the closet is so not square. He doesn't do things half way....he does them right. I am always so impressed at his attention to detail. I'll post a photo after it's finished tomorrow.

Computer time has been limited this week....I want to soak up all the moments with my Honey that I can. I sure do miss him when he's not here.

Speaking of that...it's bedtime, so I must close for now. Will try to get some photos up tomorrow or so....

Glad to hear you enjoyed hubby being home for so long. I also hate it when he goes back to work. Darn those cows! They alway seem to sneak out just when you think it is safe! Are goats do the same thing. God Bless. mj

Sounds like a great vacation to me. I love having hubby home for the day even if it's just for a day.
