HAY!!!

The Lord has blessed us!!!!

Through the help of my folks, we now have hay!!! The man we bought hay from last year didn't have any for sale...but his brother did. This hay was baled yesterday. We bought it for $35 a roll...much better than the $60 a roll that is the going rate around here. We bought 25 rolls...more than last year, but we probably will have to start feeding it sooner this year. We waited until December last year...we could almost be feeding it now this year. It's so incredibly dry right now. I took a few photos of our creek..or what used to be our creek...it's just rocks..no water. We need rain badly.

The temperature has been awful lately. Today, our thermometer said 102*! I have no idea what the heat index was today...but I know they said yesterday it was 110*. Way too hot for my taste!!!

And today, I called the propane company about pre-buying our propane for this winter. Seemed odd to be discussing heating in this weather! But, winter will be here before we know it....can't say I'm sorry about that!

Toby is working 1pm-10pm today. It's odd not having him home. I sure don't like it!! He normally works 5am-2pm. I'm so looking forward to his coming home! Today was inventory day..and when I spoke to him earlier..he said they had a fantastic report!!! I'm so proud of my Honey!! Since his job is inventory management, it reflects well on him. I always say he's the best thing to happen to Home Depot....and me, of course!!!

I must close now...it's 8pm and time for bed for my children. We have a busy day ahead tomorrow and they need their rest.

We finally got some relief from the heat and a little bit of rain. I'd send you some if I could!! I pray that relief will come to your area very soon.
