Happy Father's Day to my Dad

Today is, of course, Father's Day. It's the day set aside to honor our Dads.

What can I say about my Dad? He's a wonderful father. He's always been there for me..no matter what. As a child, and even more so as an adult, I know I can count on him.

He's had some health issues and they scare me...cause I am in no way ready to give my Dad up...so I pray for him that these issues are resolved and he can regain his health and be as active as he likes to be.

This man cried when I got married...what a sweetie! He was there for two of our births...actually in the room...or on the bed in Natalie's case! Most would cringe at the thought of their Dad there while giving birth. But, it just seemed so natural and right. He told me he couldn't do any more births after Natalie...so he was downstairs while Mary was born. It must be hard to watch your child give birth. I so appreciate his support!

And what a huge help he has been to us on our farm. The first months were spent fencing..and he was right there next to Toby and Thomas building fence. Making hay? Yep, he was there loading, unloading and stacking. Whatever needed done, Dad did it. And the huge blessing of our first cows...and our milk cow...can't thank him enough for that!!!!

My Dad is living his and Mom's dream of seeing the country in an RV. They love this! I miss them dearly when they are not here...but sure look forward to their return each time!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!! I love you!!!

You have such a way with words Laurie! What a beautiful tribute to your Dad. You know I am in no way ready to lose him yet either, so we will do whatever is necessary to keep him well. He really enjoyed reading your card last night and this was like the icing on the cake!! We love you and miss you all a whole bunch!
